Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is scheduled to attend India Chem 2026 in Mumbai on October 22, leading the state’s efforts to attract fresh industrial investment and strengthen its position as a preferred destination for chemical and petrochemical manufacturing. He will participate in the event’s inaugural session and a CEO Round Table chaired by Union Minister J. P. Nadda.
The Chief Minister’s visit is part of Odisha’s investment outreach programme, which aims to connect the state with industry leaders and explore opportunities for industrial expansion. The government plans to highlight Odisha’s industrial infrastructure, investment opportunities and policy support to encourage companies to consider establishing or expanding operations in the state.
India Chem 2026 to Bring Industry Leaders to Mumbai
The 14th edition of India Chem will take place from October 22 to 24 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Mumbai. The Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals under the Union Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers is organising the event in partnership with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
This year’s theme, “Advantage Bharat: An Emerging Global Chemicals Hub,” focuses on India’s potential in the chemicals and petrochemicals industry. The event will bring together industry representatives, policymakers, investors and other stakeholders to discuss business opportunities, industrial development and potential partnerships.
Odisha Focuses on New Industrial Investment
Odisha’s participation will focus on presenting the state as an attractive destination for chemical and petrochemical manufacturing. The investment outreach programme is expected to provide opportunities for discussions with business leaders about new projects, industrial expansion and downstream manufacturing.
The state has previously highlighted its port-linked industrial ecosystem, access to resources and investment incentives when pitching for industrial projects. These factors form part of its wider effort to attract investment in chemicals, petrochemicals and related manufacturing activities.
The CEO Round Table will provide a platform for industry representatives and policymakers to discuss the sector’s priorities and investment potential. Majhi’s participation is intended to strengthen engagement between Odisha and industry stakeholders while exploring opportunities that could support the state’s industrial growth.
Investment Outreach Could Strengthen Odisha’s Industrial Ambitions
India Chem 2026 offers Odisha an opportunity to present its industrial strengths to companies operating in the chemicals and petrochemicals sectors. The state’s outreach will focus on attracting new investment and building business connections that could support future manufacturing activity.
The outcome will depend on the discussions and investment decisions that follow. However, Odisha’s participation reflects its continued effort to strengthen its industrial profile and position itself as a competitive investment destination. The Odisha CM India Chem 2026 visit will therefore be an important opportunity to promote the state’s investment potential and engage with industry leaders in Mumbai.
