More than 30 students from Balangir, Nuapada, and Kalahandi districts have approached Kantabanji Police Station, alleging financial irregularities related to their B.Ed admissions in Andhra Pradesh. The students claim they completed their course but have yet to receive their certificates despite making all required payments.
Students Claim They Paid Significant Fees
According to the complainants, each student paid approximately ₹1.5 lakh as course fees along with an additional ₹10,000 for certificate processing through an intermediary identified as Patitapaban Herna.
The students allege that despite paying these amounts, their certificates have not been issued even a year after completing the course, leaving them uncertain about their academic and professional prospects.
Allegations of Delayed Certificate Issuance
The affected students claim that they were informed certificates would only be released after the pending funds were received by the college authorities. They further allege that repeated assurances and delays have failed to resolve the issue.
As a result, the students have sought legal intervention by filing complaints with the Kantabanji Police.
