More than 30 people were injured after a stray dog reportedly attacked residents in different parts of Sambalpur’s Gobindpur region. The incidents occurred from yesterday morning across Gobindpur, Mundhdhipa, Dumermunda and nearby localities, leaving several people, including women and children, with bite injuries.
According to the available information, the stray dog attacked people in multiple locations within a short period, creating panic among local residents. People moving through streets and residential areas were reportedly caught off guard as the animal attacked without warning.
Following the incidents, all injured individuals were taken to the Gobindpur Community Health Centre for medical treatment. Doctors and healthcare staff provided immediate care to the victims and administered anti-rabies injections and vaccinations as part of the standard treatment protocol for animal bite cases.
