Jharsuguda Police conducted a major raid on an illegal Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) manufacturing warehouse in Odisha’s Jharsuguda district and seized thousands of litres of counterfeit DEF along with 256 sacks of urea fertiliser.
The operation was carried out following information regarding the alleged production and storage of fake DEF products at the warehouse.
Huge Quantity of Counterfeit DEF Seized
During the raid, police officials reportedly recovered a large quantity of counterfeit Diesel Exhaust Fluid, commonly used in diesel vehicles to reduce emissions.
Authorities also seized 256 sacks of urea fertiliser, which is suspected to have been used in the illegal manufacturing process.
Officials believe the seized materials were intended for large-scale distribution in the market.
Investigation Into Illegal Manufacturing Activities
Police have launched an investigation to determine the source of the raw materials and identify individuals involved in the counterfeit manufacturing operation.
